G for gratitude...
I just learned there is a symbol for "gratitude"... Yup there is and I just may be the one and only person on this planet to find this out - feeling a little sheltered here - this morning while researching gratitude.
I mean I have always known the meaning of gratitude but to really experience it is something else - to know verses to feel. It is hard to feel gratitude when you are pissed. When you quit being so negative and once you open yourself up to being truly grateful you start to change your perspective and encounter more good.
In my quest for the meaning of life - mine in particular because, after all, I am the captain of this vessel. My thinking here is why not start within and then branch out.
So here I am in a new path during my 30s...getting married, birthing little humans - two to be exact - and really, fully experience, in my humble opinion, the true meaning of gratitude, love, happiness, and LIFE. As I make subtle changes which, in turn, evolve into bigger changes to the point where, HOLY CRAP, it isn't all about me but something much GREATER!
Now in my 40s...
Every day I do little things that make me aware of this revelation, such as drink green tea. As my mother would say, "What does that have to do with the price of eggs in China?" Well my response is overall wellness, which entails an ongoing process.
I bought a brand of green tea I had never purchased before called Yogi. To my surprise, and a wonderful one at that, I receive a little, what I call, devotion attached to the string. Some people call it a fortune and at first it does seem like a little fortune. Whatever it may be, it is something I love. Truth be told I am always seeking direction and messages from, yeah I'll just lay it out there for you, God. Many may write it off but in this new found (new meaning the last 10 or so years) direction I am traveling I look for deeper meanings. It is really fun if you embrace it, not to mention a very "eye-opening" existence when you see how one act is tied to another and so on and so forth... So today my devotion, message from the higher power, or, if you must, from the Yogi tea factory, is: Gratitude is the open door to abundance.
There it is...my message for the day which sparked my interest to know more and to research. Upon my "google" research I find there is a symbol and a way to embark on learning "Knew Views of Gratitude" with the "Go Gratitude Experiment", which I signed up for.
Really, what a wonderful way to start off the New Year!
Above is a cool picture of a charm shaped in the symbol of gratitude.
Here I am sharing the "Go Gratitude Experiment" for those who are inquisitive to want to know more: www.gogratitide.com.
